Lighted Farm Barn Ornament - Personalized Laser-Cut SVG File

A little red 3D barn ornament that glows with an LED tea light, with a hen out front and a name and year engraved on its roof.

A little red barn to hang on the tree - and it lights up. A battery LED tea light drops in from the top into a round hole in the base before the walls go on, and glows through the hay-loft window and the side windows. Its switch faces down through the hole, so you can turn it on without taking the barn apart. It has X-braced barn doors, scored board siding, a scalloped snowy roof, a cupola on top with the ribbon hole and a white hen standing on the ledge out front. The cupola is the top of a wall that hangs across the middle of the barn, so the ornament hangs level instead of tipping. The name and year sit in a ribbon banner on the roof as an editable red engrave layer: type in a name, engrave, cut, build. Every structural piece locks with tabs and slots - only the back gable trim is glued on, and the hen stands in her own slot. Files for 2.7, 3 and 4 mm plywood.

You'll need

• A laser cutter with at least a 10 x 10 in work area, and software that edits SVG text (xTool Creative Space, LightBurn, Glowforge and others)
• 2.7 mm, 3 mm or 4 mm plywood
• One battery LED tea light, the common size about 1.5 in (37 mm) across with a stepped bottom (not included)
• Fine sandpaper, acrylic paints or a white paint pen, ribbon or twine; wood glue is optional

Laser-friendly files

Red = engrave (name and year), blue = score (board siding, barn-door X, window frames, roof scallops, the hen's wing and the part names - single-stroke, no engraving), black = cut. Small pieces cut before the big outlines.
