The Clucking Palace as a wall-hanging scene box. A gable front with plank siding has a crown cut-out in the peak and a CLUCKING PALACE sign over a big arched opening. Inside, two hens perch on a roost bar, three nesting boxes labeled Henrietta, Clucky and Dot sit on the straw-scored floor with eggs in the straw, and Clucky is home in hers. An LED tea light slides through an arch in the back onto a lamp shelf and glows through the lantern's windows. A keyhole in the back hangs it on a single nail. Every structural piece locks in with tabs, so nothing needs holding while glue sets. Files for 2.7, 3 and 4 mm plywood.
