An empty open-front room box, ready for any scene you want to build: a small 1:12 nook or a roomy 1:24 room. The inner side walls angle in toward the back for a forced-perspective look, the floor is scored with planks, two keyholes with nail pockets let it hang flat on a wall, and a flat 1/2 in front trim glues on and hides every joint. Files are included for 2.7, 3, 4 and 5 mm plywood.

• Wood glue, fine sandpaper, acrylic paints
